Ataraxy Farm is a therapeutic dairy goat farm created to promote mental well-being through animal therapy and farming.  It was established in 2013 as a private sanctuary to support an army veteran in managing PTSD after military service in Bosnia and remained private for eight years. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ataraxy Farm opened to the public as the founders wanted to help others find peace through interactions with farm animals.

The name, “Ataraxy,” means a state of serene calmness and reflects the farm’s peaceful environment. As well as animal therapy, Ataraxy Farm has dairy goats which are hand-milked to produce natural skincare and haircare products, such as shampoo bars, facial bars, and body bars. Proceeds from the sales support the farm’s operation such as free tours.
