Cultures Gen V Inc. is a family-run, Canadian company that is based in Ste-Clotilde, Quebec. They are one of the largest greenhouse producers of leafy vegetables in North America. The company was established in 1987, and the Tetreault family took over the business in 2008. Over the years, the company has flourished and they now employ more than 450 people, have four growing locations, and sell their healthy vegetables all over North America.
They grow a large range of vegetables, including various types of hydroponic lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and living lettuce. All of their lettuce is grown hydroponically, and their cucumbers and peppers are grown organically. Greenhouse hydroponic growing uses 90 percent less water than field growing, so their method is great for the environment. This type of growing also produces bigger yields than traditional methods. Their vegetables can be found at most grocery stores in Canada, including IGA, Provigo, Metro, Loblaws, and Sobeys.
