Cora is a Canadian restaurant chain that has its headquarters in Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec. It was started by Cora Tsouflidou, a single mother, in 1987 when she bought a small diner in Montreal’s Saint-Laurent district. She created a concept that was innovative at the time: breakfast gastronomy.
In a short time, Cora’s proved to be a very successful venture and by 1990, Cora was opening restaurants in new locations. Today, the company is run by Cora’s son, Nicholas, keeping the restaurant chain in the hands of the family.
Cora has restaurants in 130 locations across Canada and feeds over 250 guests per week. Cora has also brought some of their recipes and ingredients to Canadian grocery stores. Their waffle mix, for example, can be purchased at Loblaws.
