Anu Raina is an eponymous brand established by Oakville based Textile Designer in 2010. Raina is a graduate of London College of Fashion (England) and a graduate of Textile program at the Sheridan College, Oakville (2010).
It is a unique brand that embodies the true spirit of slow fashion. Inspired by the designer’s travels and personal life journeys, the work produced by the brand is timeless – a melange of art, fashion and fine craftsmanship. The focus is on telling a story with Raina’s original and colourful signature prints that become the cherished part of a customer’s wardrobe. Her prints have an original, bold and spunky vibe to them. All her pieces are hand cut and stitched in small batches in Toronto.
Raina has done exclusive collaborations with several prestigious organizations such as Art Gallery of Ontario, The Law Society of Upper Canada, eBay Canada, and Keilhauer. Her Skyline print was selected by the Textile Museum of Canada for a contemporary art exhibit in New York and London (England) recently. Raina has been featured in national media outlets such as the Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, National Post, CBC Radio and CTV.
Raina is a member of Craft and Design – Program Advisory Committee (PAC) at Sheridan College, and has been a part of the jury for Ontario Arts Council, and Toronto Outdoor Art Show.
Currently Raina lives in Oakville, Ontario with her husband and two children where she has opened her first brick and mortar store.
Anu Raina was also nominated for YWCA Hamilton Woman of distinction – Art, Culture and Design Award in Feb 2021.
