Chromag, based in Whistler, British Columbia, first started making bikes in 2003. While some of their bikes are made in Taiwan, many of the bike components are manufactured in Whistler, including QRs and stems, cable guides, and bottom brackets.

All Chromag bikes, including those made in Taiwan, are built by hand. The only difference is that in Taiwan, they are put together by a team of people, while in Canada, each bike is put together by an individual. Samurai and Arcturian bikes are built by Mike Truelove in Squamish, most Surface and most Primer bikes by Chris Dekerf in Vancouver, and Doctahawk by Brad Howlett on Vancouver Island.

If you are after a bike made in Canada, the website makes it easy to search for Canadian-made bikes only.
