The Cheezie®-brand was born in the late 1940s and is a Canadian-owned company. It is now run by Kent Hawkins who is the grandson of the founder W.T. Hawkins. W.T. Hawkins founded the company on the idea that real cheddar cheese combined with wholesome ingredients and a unique shape would prove successful in the snack food industry.

The company only uses natural ingredients and real aged cheddar cheese to manufacture the snacks, which were first developed by Jim Marker, who alongside W.T. Hawkins, was integral to the company’s success.
