Shaw’s Ice Cream has been around since 1948 but had fallen on hard times by the early 2000s. The company was rescued by sisters Kim, Kelly, and Kristine McLaughlin who purchased the struggling ice cream company in 2001. The three sisters already had experience in selling ice cream before taking on Shaw’s.

Shaw’s Ice Creams are made with 100% Canadian dairy at their Tillsonburg, Ontario facility where they moved to when the company outgrew their original production facility in St Thomas in 2019. Today, Shaw’s Ice Cream is available from retailers across the country. The company also has a Dairy Bar in St. Thomas.
