Belly Ice Cream is a Canadian company that is located in Huntsville, Ontario – in the heart of the beautiful Muskoka region. The company was founded by a former chef named Shelley Westgarth who decided in 2009 that she wanted a bit more balance in her life. To achieve that, she switched careers and began to craft artisan ice cream. She built a production facility and shop in Huntsville and in 2018 went on the CBC show The Dragon’s Den.
Belly ice cream is handcrafted in small batches and contains no artificial colors or flavours. They are proud of the fact that everything they add to their ice cream is handmade – including their own brownies, marshmallows, caramel and fudge. They are also known for their unique and interesting flavours including Basil and Lemon, Buttertart, Obscene Chocolate Brownie, Scotch Whiskey with Smoked Almonds & Salted Caramel and Muskoka Maple Mocha.
