Screamin Brothers was the idea of then 15-year-old J.R. Wikkerink whose family were adopting two children from Haiti when the 2010 earthquake struck the idea. J.R. wanted to do something to help the children and came up with the idea to make allergen and gluten-free frozen treats made with organic coconut milk.
The Screamin Brothers company has since been acquired by Foothills Creamer, another Canadian company. Foothills Creamery was founded in 1969 and has been serving dairy products in Western Canada since then. The company produces over 80 different ice cream, sorbet, sherbet, and soft serve flavours.
