Goodmorning.com is one of Canada’s premier mattress companies, providing brands that cover all of the major sleep issues that many Canadians face. The Logan & Cove mattress features strong pressure relief through the pillow-top layer, with strong support from the zoned coils below. In our Logan & Cove review, we’ll go over why this mattress is one of the best options in Canada for most users.

Should You Buy the Logan & Cove Mattress?

The Logan & Cove mattress is a great option for those who want immediate pressure relief and strong support. It’s a unique mattress that balances these areas well, providing better comfort throughout the night. The two firmness options available can help you customize the feel of your mattress, providing a little bit of flexibility for most sleepers. This luxurious mattress comes with a 120-night sleep trial, so you can try it before you commit to a purchase. It’s worth giving it a try for sure.

  • Two distinct firmness options to choose from
  • The plush pillow-top section is separated from the core of the mattress for better cushion
  • Extreme pressure relief throughout the pillow top layer
  • Cooling foams help reduce heat and promote airflow throughout the mattress
  • The zoned support coil layer helps reduce strain and support your lumbar and hips
  • Individually wrapped pocket coils reduce motion transfer and provide better support overall
The Logan and Cove Mattress

It's Great For:

Considerations:

The Logan & Cove mattress is a luxury pillow-top hybrid mattress. It uses the highest quality materials from Canada to provide unparalleled comfort and pressure relief. The coil support layer is zoned, meaning you’ll get better lumbar support than other mattresses might offer. This option could be best for you if you need extra comfort at the top of the mattress and better support from the bottom layers.

This mattress offers excellent edge support as well. The support foam perimeter reinforces the core of the mattress, reducing sliding at the edges. The core also features individually-wrapped coils that compress right where you need them, reducing strain and promoting proper support and alignment. The cloud-like top layer keeps you comfortable, allowing you to sink into the mattress without developing pressure points.

The combination of these features makes Logan & Cove especially unique. The pillow top is separate from the mattress, allowing for a softer, more impactful experience. Every layer of this mattress uses luxury materials, but it doesn’t come at a luxury price. This means that more Canadians can enjoy the comfort of this mattress without breaking the bank.

From the moisture-wicking hand-tufted top cover to the zoned lumbar support layer at the bottom of the mattress, every part of the Logan & Cove was developed to help you sleep better no matter how you sleep. Choose from two firmness options according to your preferences, including Medium Plush (a true medium mattress) and Luxury Firm (a medium firm option). There’s a perfect option for every sleeper!

Mattress Construction

Logan & Cove Mattress Construction
  • Tencel Top Cover. The cover of the Logan & Cove mattress is made with soft, breathable Tencel fibres to help wick away moisture and keep you cool throughout the night.
  • Silk Blend Pillow-Top Fill. The pillow-top section begins with a layer of antimicrobial silk-blend fill. This fill is light and airy. It helps support your pressure points while regulating temperature. The breathable nature of the fill allows for better airflow throughout the top of the mattress.
  • 3/4″ High-Density Cooling Gel Foam. This layer of gel foam cradles your body and helps dissipate heat before it can reach the core of the mattress. Though this memory foam contours to your body, it doesn’t restrict airflow or breathability from the fill layer.
  • 1″ Cooling Gel Foam. Another layer of cooling gel foam takes care of any remaining heat, reducing the overall temperature of the mattress so you sleep more comfortably.
  • 1″ High-Density Bio-Foam. Soy-infused bio-foam layers help reduce your deepest pressure points and keep your spine aligned. This first layer of bio-foam helps keep you elevated out of the core of the mattress and provides additional support.
  • 2″ High-Density Bio-Foam. This thicker layer of bio-foam works on your deepest pressure points and promotes unparalleled support and balance. It also cushions the coil layer, so you’ll never feel like you’re sleeping directly on top of the coils.
  • Zoned Pocket Coils. The coil layer in this hybrid mattress features individual pocket coils to reduce motion transfer and offer better support overall. The coils are zoned, meaning that firmer coils in the centre of the mattress help keep your hips and lower back properly supported. Softer coils around your shoulders reduce pressure while providing the ideal support for most sleepers.

Firmness

The Logan & Cove Mattress is available in two different initial firmness options. You can choose either Medium Plush or Luxury Firm when you order your mattress.

Medium Plush

5.5 on Firmness Scale

The Medium Plush option is a true medium mattress, which provides the perfect blend of support and comfort. It’s well-cushioned without being too soft, but doesn’t slack when it comes to firmness either. If you enjoy hotel-style mattresses with great cushioning, this is the option you should choose. The medium firmness is appealing to most sleepers, especially side sleepers and stomach sleepers

Luxury Firm

7 on Firmness Scale

The Luxury Firm option is firmer, which can be more appealing for back sleepers. Because of the addition of the pillow top section, this firmer option might also be ideal for stomach sleepers. While they usually prefer a softer mattress, the softer top can help them feel properly comforted. The stronger support is appreciated by both types of sleepers. If you prefer a firmer mattress and need the most support possible, the Luxury Firm option is the right choice for you.

If you order the wrong firmness for your Logan & Cove mattress, you can switch it for the other firmness option during your 120-night sleep trial. However, you will no longer be able to return the mattress for a full refund if you initiate this type of return.

Motion Isolation

If your partner is often restless, it can be difficult to sleep peacefully. Traditional mattresses can transfer motion across the mattress, so you’ll feel it every time your partner turns over or adjusts their pillow. However, the Logan & Cove mattress is built to reduce motion transfer throughout the mattress.

The hybrid design allows each of the coils in the support layer to compress individually. This means that motion isn’t carried across a series of coils. When your partner moves around, the foam in the top layers helps reduce the motion immediately. Any motion that makes it to the coil layer is reduced again as the coils compress individually.

The result is a mattress that stops most motion from the other side of the bed. You might feel larger motions (like your partner getting out of bed), but most should be dispersed by the mattress before it wakes you up.

Pressure Relief

Logan & Cove Pressure Relief

If there is any area where the Logan & Cove mattress excels above most other mattresses on the Canadian market, it’s pressure relief. The separate pillow top section provides fantastic relief for most sleepers, including those who sleep on their sides and stomachs. This layer allows you to sink into the mattress, keeping you elevated on a cloud-like surface that doesn’t allow pressure points to form throughout the night. Even if you don’t move around a lot while you sleep, this mattress won’t let you down.

The layers of silk-blend fill, cooling gel foam, and bio-foam help contribute to the extremely comfortable surface of this mattress. You may find that it’s easier to get comfortable and fall asleep. If you usually wake up due to discomfort, this mattress might help you sleep longer.

This mattress is ideal if you need the extra pressure relief of the pillow top section with strong support underneath. That’s why it’s one of the best options for stomach sleepers. The soft top helps them sink in and get comfortable while providing strong support through the centre of the mattress. No matter how you sleep, though, this mattress provides some of the best pressure relief in Canada.

Temperature Control

Due to the pillow top and multiple layers of cooling gel foam, the Logan & Cove mattress may sleep cooler than some of the other options on the Canadian market. The layer of silk-blend fill at the top of the mattress is breathable, allowing for additional airflow throughout the top section of the mattress. Underneath are two layers of cooling foam, which can reduce heat and help dissipate any higher temperatures that occur throughout the night.

However, the pillow top section is also extremely contouring. The temperature control measures work great, but there will be some heat retention throughout the mattress. Still, it’s much less than an all-foam mattress or a mattress without a pillow top section.

The coil layer at the bottom of the mattress also helps keep you cool. The individually wrapped coils promote better cooling through the core of the mattress, which means cooler air is pushed up toward you. This can reduce heat, especially as you sink into the mattress.

Edge Support

Logan & Cove Edge Support

You might notice that other mattresses (particularly memory foam and hybrid mattresses) might lack support around the edge. This sinking or sliding feeling can be uncomfortable and may even cause you to slip off of the bed if you spend too long perched on the edge. This is a problem for those who want to sit at the edge of the bed in the morning. For those who sleep near the edge of the bed (such as couples who gravitate to the edges), this lack of support can impact sleep quality.

The Logan & Cove Mattress features edge-to-edge support. A perimeter or sidewall of engineered edge support foam helps reduce sagging or sliding at the edge of the mattress. No matter where you sit or sleep, this support foam doesn’t sag in the same way. Support remains the same throughout the mattress, even up to the edge.

Ease of Movement

Because this mattress is a pillow top supported by memory foam, it might not be the best option for combination sleepers or those who move around a lot during the night. The pillow top is surprisingly responsive but still allows you to sink into the mattress. Of course, the comfort of the pillow top is part of the appeal. While the hybrid design helps a little, ease of movement is somewhat limited here.

You can move around a little easier on the Luxury Firm version of this mattress. Firmer foam layers help bolster the core of the mattress, leading to a more responsive experience overall. However, it’s firm enough that it might not be comfortable for some users.

Pricing

The Logan & Cove Mattress comes at an affordable price, especially when you consider the luxury materials and construction of the mattress. While there are two firmness options available in each size, the cost remains the same for both firmness options. These prices also don’t change due to sales or coupons throughout the year, so you’ll be able to plan for these prices no matter what.

Shipping

Logan & Cove ships their mattress and all accessories and bedding free to most locations. Remote locations may require a shipping fee, especially for larger items that require more specialized delivery. Rural areas may be handled differently than city locations, as the courier that Logan & Cove uses might hand your mattress or other packages to your local courier. As a result, shipping times and prices may be increased to certain locations. If you need a shipping estimate before ordering your mattress, you can contact the Logan & Cove customer care service to discuss costs.

All Logan & Cove mattresses are made to order, which means it may take an additional few days to ship. However, this means you get a new mattress that hasn’t been rolled up in the warehouse for weeks.

The mattress can take up to 6 business days to arrive once it has shipped. Areas like Alberta and Ontario receive 1-2 day shipping, while remote areas like Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island may take the full 4 to 6 business days for delivery.

Sleep Trial and Returns

Like most Goodmorning.com mattresses, the Logan & Cove mattress offers a 120-night sleep trial. For this initial period after your mattress is delivered, you may find that it doesn’t work for you. Whether you ordered the wrong firmness or need a different mattress altogether, this risk-free trial period gives you the freedom to choose. Since it usually takes about 30 days to become used to a new mattress, Logan & Cove offers returns for a full refund between night 30 and night 120 of your sleep trial.

Logan & Cove will not accept mattresses that are stained, worn, or feature burns, cuts, or tears. Mattresses must be in a good, sanitary condition to be returned. To ensure that your mattress stays clean enough to be returned during your trial, we recommend using a mattress protector during your sleep trial.

Once your request is received, you will be asked to provide your order information and images of the mattress. They will give you instructions about how to go about returning your mattress, which includes the original plastic wrap from the packaging. Your mattress should be picked up within two business days in most locations, though it can take as long as ten business days. Some pickup charges may apply, but returns are usually free in urban areas.

After your mattress arrives back at the warehouse, a refund will be issued within two business days. A full refund of your purchase price is returned to the original payment method used for the purchase and may take up to 14 days to appear on your financial statements.

Warranty

The Logan & Cove mattress comes with a 15-year warranty. This warranty begins on the day your mattress is purchased. It covers faulty workmanship, permanent indentations greater than 2 inches that aren’t a result of improper use, and physical flaws that cause foams to split, crack, or tear without improper handling.

However, the mattress doesn’t cover mold or mildew, damage from using the wrong type of frame, unsanitary soiling, tears beyond normal wear and tear, and damage from cleaning. It also does not cover indentations less than 2 inches, normal softness changes over time, or a variety of other issues not related to the mattress’s construction or manufacturing.

To begin a warranty claim, you must submit a claim to Logan & Cove’s customer care team. You will be asked to provide multiple photos with different conditions, as well as a questionnaire about your issues and the use of your mattress. Warranty returns cover the cost of shipping and handling. Goodmorning.com may choose to repair or replace the mattress as they see fit. If your mattress is replaced, your warranty is not extended or renewed.

Final Thoughts

The Logan & Cove mattress is a comfortable, luxurious mattress what doesn’t come with a luxury price tag. This hand-finished mattress uses the highest-quality materials available in Canada, ensuring that you sleep better throughout the night. No matter how you sleep, one of the firmness options will work for you. This mattress is one of the best that Goodmorning.com offers, so why not give it a try?
