This mattress has four foam layers and is medium firm- best suited for side or back sleepers. Those who sleep on their stomach may find this mattress slightly too firm.

Those who sleep warm will find the mattress breathable and somewhat cool, but it won’t reduce all heat. For those who co-sleep, the comfort and transitional layers help with motion isolation, ensuring you stay asleep despite movement around you.

With its removable and washable cover, those with allergies, children, or who have frequent spills will appreciate being able to keep it clean as often as the rest of their bedding.

This mattress is excellent for those that don’t need additional pressure relief or temperature control. Those who sleep on their stomach will find this mattress comfortable and supportive without being too firm. This is a great choice for Canadians who naturally sleep moderately cool and do not have any back or hip pain to consider.

Mattress Construction

While Polysleep mattresses are very similar in their construction, the number of foam layers and support frame is what sets the different styles apart from one another. Here, we will look at the Polysleep mattresses in our review and how they are constructed.

Polysleep Memory Foam Mattress

Polysleep Mattress Construction
  • Soft Liquid Repellent Cover. This soft polyester and poly-viscose cover features a liquid-repellent top that helps make cleanups a breeze. The mesh siding allows for maximum breathability and airflow. The entire cover can be zipped off and removed for easy machine washing.
  • Top Comfort Layer. This 2” open-cell hybrid foam helps with regulating temperatures and reducing pressure. With small holes throughout the foam, keeping cool is easy while sleeping. For Canadians needing a bit more support, the medium firm surface is both comfortable and supportive.
  • Comfortable Transition Layer. This layer of Polysleep foam creates a transition between the top layer and the base layers, which is helpful for those needing pressure relief and motion isolation.
  • Proprietary Support Foam. Unique to Polysleep, this built-in support frame offers incredible edge support, which is difficult to find in other Canadian memory foam mattresses. This layer helps keep your mattress from flattening and sinking around the edges over time, which is excellent for those who tend to sleep near the edge.
  • Supportive Foam Base. As the foundation of the Polysleep mattress, this solid foam base helps eliminate sagging that often happens to mattresses over time. Those seeking extra pressure relief will be happy with the additional support offered.

Polysleep Origin Mattress

  • Soft Liquid Repellent Cover. This removable and washable cover made of polyester and poly-viscose is great for those with allergies or anyone wanting a clean and fresh mattress regularly. It is both liquid repellent for accidental spills and breathable with mesh siding.
  • Top Comfort Layer. This 1” hybrid foam is made of open-cell technology, making it breathable and great at regulating temperatures. The medium-firm surface is great for those needing a small amount of support.
  • Comfortable Transition Layer. Creating a transition between the top and base layers, this Polysleep foam helps with motion transfer for restless sleepers.
  • Supportive Foam Base. This solid high-density foam base prevents the sagging that often occurs with mattresses over time. Preventing breakdown, as well as offering extreme support, makes this foundational base unique.

Polysleep Zephyr Mattress

Polysleep Zephyr Mattress Construction
  • Energizing Cover. This liquid-repellent cover is made of soft and plush polyester and poly-viscose. Special to the Zephyr model is an infusion of Nanobionic technology designed to give your tired muscles the best recovery. The Polysleep cover can be easily removed and is machine washable.
  • Thermoregulatory Layer. This layer of open-cell hybrid foam keeps you cool and comfortable all night long due to the addition GelFlex Plus Foam.
  • Top Comfort Layer. A layer of high-density comfort foam features open-cell technology, making this mattress extra breathable. Those that sleep warm at night will appreciate this additional temperature control layer.
  • Hip Support Layer. For Canadians with hip pain that need extra pressure relief, this special layer has extra support right where you need it, helping with alignment and cushioning.
  • Comfortable Transition Layer. Creating a transition between the top and bottom of the mattress, this high-density Polysleep layer foam features extra support for your head, shoulders and legs.
  • Proprietary Support Frame. Unlike other mattresses that sink and sag around the edges over time, Polysleep has created a unique support frame built into some of its mattresses. This support is excellent for those sleeping near the bed’s edge.
  • Supportive Foam Base. This high-density foam base is a perfect base for such a high-quality mattress. Preventing overall mattress breakdown and sagging, this Polysleep foundation also offers additional relief for those needing recovery and support throughout the night.

Firmness

Polysleep Memory Foam Mattress

6.5 on Firmness Scale

The Polysleep Memory Foam mattress is medium firm, at about 6.5 on the firmness scale. With its extra thick foundational base and unique support framing, this mattress will provide solid support and comfort.

This mattress is best suited for those that sleep on their side or back, though it may be a bit too firm for stomach sleepers. Of the three mattresses in our review today, the Polysleep Memory Foam mattress comes in the middle of firmness and support, making it a great all-around choice.

Polysleep Origin Mattress

6.5 on Firmness Scale

While the Polysleep Origin mattress also comes in at 6.5 on a firmness ranking, its thinner foam layers make it feel softer than the other mattresses in our review today. While it does feature a great bottom base, it lacks the support framing that the other mattresses in our review have and a thinner top comfort layer.

This model is great for those that sleep on their stomach or side wanting a cushier sleeping experience. Those that sleep on their back or need additional pressure relief may not find this mattress as supportive as a firmer option.

Polysleep Zephyr Mattress

7.5 on Firmness Scale

Coming in at 7.5 on a firmness scale, this Polysleep Zephyr is the firmest mattress in our review today and also the most supportive. This mattress features a solid support base, excellent framing as well as targeted layers for hips and joints.

The Polysleep Zephyr is best suited for those that sleep on their back or side and need additional pressure relief and support. Those who sleep on their stomachs may find this model too firm for their liking.

Motion Isolation

Polysleep Mattress Motion Isolation

For those that co-sleep and have restless partners, motion isolation is an essential feature to look for in a mattress. All three Polysleep mattresses in our review today feature excellent motion isolation to help combat motion transfer.

Of the three Polysleep mattresses featured today, the Polysleep Zephyr and the Polysleep Memory Foam mattresses have slightly better motion isolation than the Polysleep Origin due to their thicker top and transitional layers, designed to trap motion with open-cell technology.

Pressure Relief

Those who wake up in the morning feeling stiff, uncomfortable or in pain may need to seek a mattress with extra pressure relief features. Canadians who sleep on their side or back may need a mattress with additional support.

For the best pressure relief, the Polysleep Zephyr offers the most support of the three Polysleep mattresses reviewed today. With its extra foam layers, two of them are specifically designed for treating muscle aches and pains, making this mattress a top choice for those needing excellent pressure relief.

Temperature Control

Many Canadians wake up feeling hot, sweaty and uncomfortable after sleeping, and it’s more common than you may think. This often has to do with the type of mattress you are sleeping on. Memory foam mattresses, although incredibly popular, retain heat, making the mattress get warmer throughout the night.

All three Polysleep mattresses do an excellent job at temperature control. The top comfort layers of the Polysleep Memory Foam mattress and the Polysleep Origin feature open-cell technology, allowing for airflow and cooler sleep, though it won’t totally eliminate heat while sleeping.

The Polysleep Zephyr mattress is the best choice in our review today for those that sleep warm. The Zephyr features a unique thermoregulatory top layer of Polysleep hybrid and GelFlex foam. Combined, this layer ensures a comfortable and cool sleep all night long.

Edge Support

Polysleep Mattress Edge Support

For those that sleep near the edge of the bed or feel like they are sinking or slipping when sitting on the mattress edge, looking for one with proper edge support is critical. Most memory foam mattresses do not feature edge support, often leading to sinking and sagging.

The Polysleep Memory Foam mattress and the Polysleep Zephyr offer their proprietary support frame that combats sagging on the edge. Either of these two mattresses is great for those that sleep on the edge of the bed or often find themselves sitting there.

The Polysleep Origin mattress does not feature any edge support, so if this is important to you, consider choosing one of the other two mattresses in our review today.

Ease of Movement

When buying a new mattress, ease of movement can be an important feature that is often overlooked but should be considered. Sleepers with more limited mobility and a more challenging time getting in and out of bed, or those that need to be able to move around easily on the mattress while sleeping, should pick a mattress with good ease of movement.

All three Polysleep mattresses in our review today have excellent mobility, allowing most sleepers to get in and out of bed with ease and change positions while sleeping without sinking into the surface. Those with regular difficulty getting into bed may wish to avoid buying the Polysleep Origin, as it lacks the edge support feature that the other two mattresses have in place. Of the three, the Polysleep Zephyr provides the best ease of movement with its flattest and most supportive surface and an excellent edge support system.

Pricing

All of the Polysleep mattresses are high-end models with varying costs depending on the features they offer. You can expect to pay more for mattresses with more foam layers, or options that boast more features and conveniences than other models. Here are the sizes, prices, and dimensions for each Polysleep mattress model we are reviewing today.

Shipping

All of Polysleep’s mattresses ship for free to most locations within Canada. Some additional fees may occur for those that live more remotely or in farther Canadian Territories. You can email Polysleep before ordering if you have concerns.

All Polysleep mattresses ship from Canadian warehouses, and delivery is typically about 3-5 days after placing an order, making it one of the fastest Canadian mattress deliveries on the market.

Sleep Trial and Returns

One of the small risks when buying a mattress online is the inability to test the mattress out in person first. Because of this, making sure that you understand and are comfortable with a company’s sleep trial and return policy is key.

Polysleep includes a 100-night sleep trial with every mattress purchase, giving you plenty of time to ensure the mattress best fits you. Polysleep requires you to have your mattress for at least 45 days before initiating a return. After 45 days, you can start a return by contacting customer service.

Polysleep does require an $85 fee to return the mattress, and sometimes they only issue a partial refund. Consider this policy when deciding which Canadian mattress to purchase.

Warranty

When spending a significant amount of money on a mattress, you should ensure that your mattress includes a good warranty that you are happy with. The Polysleep mattress includes a 10-year warranty with each mattress purchase. This warranty covers issues like indents greater than 1”, physical flaws where the foam has split or cracked, and zipper defects.

To file a warranty claim with Polysleep, make sure you have registered your mattress upon purchase and have your original sales receipt. Once you file a claim and Polysleep accepts it, they do not charge for repairs or replacement (if needed) of your Polysleep mattress. Polysleep does require you to pay to ship the mattress to them, which can be expensive.

Final Thoughts

Polysleep is an excellent Canadian mattress brand with styles that fit every need and budget. With features like temperature control, edge support and motion isolation, Polysleep’s top-of-the-line mattresses are designed to last many years while being comfortable and supportive.

Polysleep mattresses are designed to be placed on a supportive base. While all Polysleep mattresses can be placed on a standard bed frame, they perform best when placed on a Polysleep mattress foundation. Regardless, you should never place your Polysleep mattress on the floor to avoid damage.

Setting up a Polysleep mattress is super easy and requires just a few steps! First, unbox your mattress and recycle the box. Next, place and unroll your Polysleep mattress on your bed frame. Finally, remove the plastic vacuum seal covering your Polysleep mattress, making sure not to cut the fabric, and watch it expand to its full size.

The Polysleep Zephyr is the best mattress in our review for those who sleep warm. The top layer of this mattress regulates your temperature using GelFlex foam and Polysleep’s hybrid foam, which work together to reduce temperature throughout the night. If you sleep extremely hot, this mattress can help you stay cool.

Polysleep offers a 100-night sleep trial for all of their mattresses. You have to try it for at least 45 days before returning it. There is an $85 fee to return the mattress, and sometimes only a partial refund will be issued due to the condition of the mattress.

The Polysleep Zephyr is the firmest mattress we covered in our Polysleep Mattress review. This mattress is solid and comfortable, with extreme support for those who need it. It’s a little too firm for stomach sleepers, at about a 7.5 on the firmness scale.

The Polysleep Origin Mattress is the best option for Canadians on a budget. This option comes at a lower price than the other two options here, but still includes Polysleep’s great policies and top-notch construction. The Polysleep Memory Foam Mattress is a little more expensive, but still won’t break the bank if you don’t want to spend too much on a new mattress.
