Polysleep and Endy are both great Canadian companies that add their own spin to the mattress industry. Though both are all-foam mattresses, they stand out in completely different ways. The special features and proprietary materials set these mattresses apart. In our Polysleep vs Endy review, we’ll look at how these mattresses stack up.

Polysleep Mattress vs Endy Mattress: Which is Better for You?

While most of the all-foam mattresses on the Canadian market are similar, both Polysleep and Endy break the mould with their use of proprietary materials and specialized features. The option you choose depends on the features you need. The Polysleep, for instance, offers better edge support than most Canadian mattresses. The Endy completely isolates motion, making it ideal for couples and co-sleepers. In the rest of our Polysleep vs Endy review, we’ll look at how these mattresses compare in these areas and others.

Mattress Construction

The Polysleep Mattress and the Endy Mattress are all foam models that use proprietary materials and blends to create comfortable mattresses. Each has its own benefits and offers unique takes on the classic all-foam construction.

Polysleep Mattress Layers

Polysleep Mattress Construction
  • Soft Liquid Repellent Cover. The cover of the Polysleep Mattress is made with a comfortable blend of textiles. Premium mesh on the sides promotes better airflow throughout the mattress, while the top of the cover repels liquids and prevents stains. You can also zip the cover off to wash it whenever you need to.
  • Breathable Top Layer. The top layer of this mattress is a hybrid foam blend that helps reduce pressure and regulate temperature. This open-cell foam is perforated to move hot air away from you, circulating cooler air up through the mattress.
  • Proprietary Support Frame. A unique feature of this mattress is the support frame, a dense foam perimeter that helps reinforce the edges of the mattress. This is typically found in hybrid mattresses, but Polysleep has incorporated its own version of this feature in its all-foam option.
  • Comfortable Transition Layer. A layer of softer transition foam helps with comfort and pressure relief, aligning your spine and keeping you comfortable throughout the night. This layer also helps to isolate motion, so you’re less likely to feel motion from the other side of the bed.
  • Supportive Foam Base. The supportive base is a high-density foam layer that reinforces the mattress. It prevents sagging over time and helps keep you balanced, reducing strain throughout your body.

Endy Mattress Layers

  • Micro-Quilted Cover. Endy’s mattress cover is stretchy and breathable, but you can zip it off and wash it with the rest of your laundry when it’s time to clean up your sleeping surface.
  • Endy Comfort Foam. The mattress’s top layer is made of Endy’s proprietary open-cell memory foam. This foam is extremely responsive, but it’s also breathable and helps relieve pressure better than some of the other options on the Canadian market. This layer helps you move around like latex, but contours to your body for customized support like memory foam.
  • Transition Foam. The middle layer of the Endy mattress is a softer transition foam. This layer is responsible for motion isolation within the mattress, which is some of the best we’ve seen. The open cells promote active motion isolation while it relieves your deepest pressure points.
  • Support Foam. Dense foam at the base of the mattress helps reduce strain. It promotes better balance and support, too. This foam won’t sag over time, so you won’t have any concerns with the durability of this mattress.
  • Temperature-Neutral Foam. All of the foam layers used within the Endy mattress are temperature-neutral. While most traditional memory foam mattresses can feel different depending on the season (softer in the summer and firmer in the winter, for instance), Endy will feel the same no matter the ambient temperature.

Firmness

Both of these mattresses are medium-firm options, but they feel slightly different. Regardless, they are comparable when it comes to firmness.

Polysleep Mattress Firmness

The Polysleep Mattress is medium firm in feel. It lands at a 6 on the firmness scale, which means it is a little softer than most medium-firm options. If you prefer a plush sleeping surface, this mattress will deliver. The firmness from the support layers makes it ideal for side sleepers and those who sleep on their backs.

Endy Mattress Firmness

6.5 on Firmness Scale

The Endy Mattress is also medium firm, but it lands at a 6.5 on our firmness scale. It’s ideal for side and back sleepers, but it’s a little firmer than the Polysleep mattress. It offers good support without sacrificing pressure relief, a mistake that some medium-firm mattresses make when trying to find the perfect balance when it comes to feel.

Durability

Because of their slightly different warranty terms, you might wonder how these mattresses hold up over time. Both are extremely durable options, but the Endy mattress is made to last just a little longer with normal use.

Polysleep Mattress Durability

The Polysleep mattress has a lot of things going for it when it comes to durability. The dense support perimeter and high-density support base won’t sag over time, so you can expect the mattress to hold up well. However, it isn’t meant to last as long as the Endy mattress, which may mean that it beings indenting or deteriorating faster.

Endy Mattress Durability

On the other hand, the Endy Mattress is extremely durable. It’s rated to last up to 15 years, and the open-cell construction of each layer helps create a stable experience overall. You can expect this mattress to last just a little bit longer than the Polysleep mattress.

Motion Isolation

The construction of both of these mattresses allows for great motion isolation. If you’re tired of feeling every movement from the other side of the bed, you need a mattress with better motion isolation. Thankfully, all-foam mattresses are usually great at reducing motion transfer, so you’ll stay asleep even when your partner is restless. Though Polysleep offers a good alternative, the Endy Mattress shines when it comes to motion isolation.

Polysleep Mattress Motion Isolation

The top layer of ‘hybrid’ foam used in the Polysleep mattress helps to remove motion from the equation. If your partner often moves around, this open-cell material traps motion and stops it from transferring. This is great for those who sometimes wake up when their partner tosses and turns, but the Endy mattress has the edge in this category.

Endy Mattress Motion Isolation

Endy Mattress Pressure Relief

Every layer of the Endy Mattress uses an open-cell foam construction, so there are more opportunities to stop motion in its tracks. This active motion isolation system completely stops motion from the other side of the mattress. This mattress is often rated as the best option for restless couples for good reason!

Temperature Control

Tired of waking up hot? Most Canadians are. Even if you use cooling pillows or cooling sheets, you might be overheating because of your mattress. Foam mattresses notoriously retain heat, which can quickly lead to overheating if you sleep hot. Many Canadian mattresses try to overcome this issue by offering temperature control features to keep you cool. In this category, you’ll find that these mattresses are comparable. Neither offers any additional temperature control features, so both could lead to a hotter sleep.

Polysleep Mattress Temperature Control

The top layer of the Polysleep mattress is ventilated viscoelastic foam. It doesn’t retain heat in the same way as memory foam, and the perforations throughout the top layer allow for better airflow throughout the mattress. However, it still retains enough heat to make sleeping uncomfortable for hot sleepers.

Endy Mattress Temperature Control

The Endy Mattress uses open-cell foam throughout the mattress, which helps isolate heat and move it away from you. It doesn’t work as well as gel memory foam might, but the proprietary materials reduce some retention to keep you cool throughout the night. If you sleep very hot, this mattress might not be the best option. If you are occasionally too warm, using this mattress with cooling bedding might be the best.

Edge Support

All-foam mattresses notoriously lack edge support, but the Polysleep mattresses decided to change that. This is the category where Polysleep shines. While Endy offers sub-par edge support, the Polysleep mattress offers active edge support features to keep you comfortable from edge to edge.

Polysleep Mattress Edge Suport

Polysleep Mattress Edge Support

The Polysleep Mattress uses a layer of proprietary edge support foam frame that surrounds the bottom layers of the mattress. This perimeter is made with dense foam, which helps bolster the edges and prevent sinking or sagging when you sit or sleep near the edge. Because of the way that foam mattresses usually lose support in these areas, Polysleep’s unique perimeter adds invaluable edge-to-edge support.

Endy Mattress Edge Support

The Endy Mattress doesn’t offer much edge support, as it’s more in line with other all-foam mattresses on the Canadian mattress. You’re likely to experience sinking or sagging at the edges of the mattress. The edges may collapse a little when you sit on the edge of the bed in the morning. If edge support is important to you, consider the Polysleep mattress instead.

Pricing

The Polysleep Mattress and the Endy Mattress come at very different prices. The Endy Mattress is the ideal choice for Canadians on a budget, as you get great pressure relief and motion isolation at a much lower price. However, the wealth of features available in the Polysleep mattress justifies the cost. Here are the prices for each available mattress size.

Shipping

Both Polysleep and Endy ship free, but there are some restrictions. If you live in Ontario, you can expect to receive your mattresses fairly quickly, but remote locations may require longer shipping times and additional shipping fees.

Polysleep Mattress Shipping

The Polysleep Mattress ships free to most locations in Canada. It’s completely free if you live in Canadian provinces, but fees will apply for delivery to the Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut. At checkout, you will see an estimated delivery date. This date is usually between 3 and 5 business days from when you order, giving you some idea of the delivery window before you receive a tracking number.

Endy Mattress Shipping

Endy ships free to all Canadian provinces. There is a flat shipping fee of about $150 for most Canadian territories, though it varies based on your exact location. No mattress how much you pay in shipping, your mattress should leave the warehouse on the next business day. You can expect to receive it within 7 business days depending on your location.

Sleep Trial and Returns

Sleep trials can help you test the mattress before you commit to your purchase. Polysleep and Endy offer the same mattress trial period, but Endy offers a better policy for users who may not like their mattresses.

Polysleep Mattress Sleep Trial and Returns

The Polysleep Mattress comes with a 100-night sleep trial. During this trial, you can see if the mattress is right for you. If you don’t like the mattress, you can return it for a small fee and get a partial refund of your purchase price. Polysleep requires that you keep the mattress for 45 nights so you can get used to the way it feels. After the first 45 nights, you can contact the Polysleep support team to help with your return.

You’ll have to pay an $85 fee to return your mattress, and you will only receive a partial refund once your mattress is received.

Endy Mattress Sleep Trial and Returns

The Endy Mattress also comes with a 100-night sleep trial. However, the terms of the trial are a little different, and they seem to favour the consumer more. Endy doesn’t require you to wait 30 or 45 days to begin the return process. They recommend waiting at least 14 days, but it isn’t required. Returns are initiated on the Endy website.

They will arrange for a pick-up when you are available. It takes 2 to 5 business days on average to schedule a pick-up, and it may take up to three weeks to arrange for the right time to pick your mattress up. Your refund is processed within 5 business days and may take an additional 5 days to be reflected on your financial records. There are no fees associated with a return during your sleep trial, and you’ll get a full refund of your purchase price.

Warranty

While the Polysleep Mattress and the Endy Mattress have very similar warranty terms, the length of their warranty is different. The Polysleep Mattress offers a 10-year limited mattress warranty, while Endy has a 15-year warranty.

Polysleep Mattress Warranty

The Polysleep mattress warranty lasts 10 years from your date of purchase. It covers visible indents great than 1 inch, physical flaws that cause the foam to split or crack, and any issues with the zipper assembly of the mattress cover. Your mattress must be used on a compatible mattress bed frame in order to be eligible for warranty coverage. If you think the issues with your mattress are covered under the warranty, you can contact the customer service team at Polysleep to file a warranty claim.

Polysleep does not charge for repair or replacement, but you are responsible for shipping costs to return your old mattress, as well as the shipping costs on a new or repaired mattress.

Endy Mattress Warranty

The Endy Mattress is covered by warranty for 15 years after your purchase. As soon as you receive your mattress, you are covered for damages and defects caused by manufacturing or materials. There is no cost to replace a mattress that falls under the warranty.

This warranty covers visible indents of more than 1″, physical flaws that crack or split the foam layers, or defects in the zipper assembly for the cover. You must use a compatible bed frame for your mattress to be eligible for warranty replacement (for the Endy, these are box springs, adjustable beds, and slatted frames).

Endy doesn’t charge you for shipping to return your defective mattress or to receive your new one.

Final Thoughts

The Polysleep and Endy mattresses are both great mattress options for Canadians, but they shine for different reasons. If you need edge support and a unique feel bolstered by cutting-edge materials, the Polysleep mattress is the way to go. If you need motion isolation and pressure relief, the Endy mattress is the best option for you. Regardless of how you sleep, each mattress has benefits that work well for most Canadians.

Frequently Asked Questions

Both Polysleep and Endy are Canadian companies. Their mattresses are made right here in Canada, using local materials whenever possible to provide a high-quality sleep experience. If you are trying to find a purely Canadian mattress, either option will work well for you.

Both mattresses are all-foam options, which sometimes makes mobility a little more difficult. However, the top layer of the Polysleep mattress offers some mobility that the Endy lacks. It’s the best option for those who move around a lot at night.

The Endy Mattress offers superior pressure relief. The layers of proprietary open-cell foams help cushion your deepest pressure points, leaving you comfortable throughout the night. The Polysleep Mattress offers adequate pressure relief, but the Endy Mattress wins out.

Polysleep and Endy have comparable sleep trials. Both options give you 100 nights to see if your mattress is right for you and to return it if you don’t like it. However, Polysleep requires that you keep the mattress for 45 nights before initiating a return. The Endy Mattress has no such restrictions.

If you sit or sleep near the edge of the bed, the Polysleep Mattress is better for edge support. Its natural construction reduces sagging and slipping at the edges of the mattress,s o you can sit comfortably on the edge. The Endy mattress lacks a little bit of edge support, so it might be better to choose Polysleep if edge support is important to you.
